You wrote a world
And I walked in
And never really
Left again.
You built it up
From snips and scraps
You were the perfect
Polymath.
You gave me girls
Who fought with queens,
And men who stood for
Simple things,
You riffed upon
The things I see:
On hatred, fear,
Hypocrisy.
You gave me rules:
The start of sin
Is turning people
Into things.
You wrapped it up
And made it bright,
Heavy matter,
Bathed in light.
You wrote a world
And I walked in,
And never really
Left again.
Nicely penned. I really like this part:
You wrote a world
And I walked in,
And never really
Left again.
It is so relatable. ๐
