I pinned you down
Against the sky,
Tumbling in and out
Of clouds, like
Rainbows, like
Shafts of sunlight
Pointing, yes,
All the buttercups
We crushed,
How I rapture captured
You trapped in the
Scent of rain
Chained in daisies
Wrapped in my breath.
It’s a cloudy night at dVerse, and I’m rolling out clouds for Kim.
All the buttercups we crushed… to me this conjures up an image of reckless youth… great one

Yep, we all had a reckless youth, I think.

Oh wow! The romance of this one is stunning, Sarah! ‘All the buttercups we crushed’ – what a line. And I love the alliteration that patters with rain in:
‘How I rapture captured
You trapped in the
Scent of rain’.

I was never reckless in youth, your poem gives me a glimpse of a life not lived.

“Wrapped in my breath” — wonderful. This went from sky to trapped butterfly, and back to breezed breath, for me. Love.
