Cobble

Cobbler, make me a fine pair of shoes

So I can go dancing whenever I choose,

Moons on the heels, and stars on the toe,

So I can keep dancing wherever I go,

Cobbler, cobble some slippers, I pray,

Then watch me dancing away

A bit of whimsy for Whimsygizmo over at dVerse, who asks for a cobble quadrille.

  1. I so enjoyed your ‘bit of whimsy’, Sarah! I like how you’ve riffed on the old rhyme, ‘Cobbler, cobbler end my shoe’. I love ‘Moons on the heels, and stars on the toe’, It would go well to music!
