Those days

Those days
when the world fills you
or you fill the world

when your skin
is so thin
that the sun shines through you
the wind blows through you
the rain passes through you
gentle as a whispering

those days
come seldom
treasure them

De is hosting the quadrille at dVerse tonight, and our word is “fill”.

  1. Ohhhh. How I long for one of these kinds of days, right now.
    “when your skin
    is so thin
that the sun shines through you
    the wind blows through you
    the rain passes through you
    gentle as a whispering”

    So gorgeous, Sarah.

  3. This is so beautifully ethereal, Sarah:
    ‘…your skin
    is so thin
that the sun shines through you
    the wind blows through you
    the rain passes through you
    gentle as a whispering’.
I love the sound of the repeated ‘ooh’ in ‘through you’. That’s the sound I made when I read it!

  4. I love the idea of the skin being so thin that the sun warms it, the wind blows through it…..I take it to mean we can be open to feeling nature around us! Think about the Japanese tradition of forest bathing 🙂
